Since October, 2016 KAZGUU University together with Key Forensic Services Ltd (KFS), King’s College London (KCL), QPA strategies Ltd. (QPA) and Astana Garant Consulting (AGC) has launched the project “Strengthening Forensic inquiry” of the World Bank and the Ministry of Justice of RK. The project will last for two years and will continue until December, 2018.

The project consists of three areas:

“Development and piloting of performance indicators of forensic activities.” Under this component, it is planned to study the practice of forensic and medical expertise in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of international experience, to develop performance indicators of forensic activities, to develop a Manual on performance indicators of forensic activities, as well as organize and conduct a number of international conferences devoted to the problems of forensic activities.

“Modernisation of the legislative and institutional base for forensic inquiry.” The outcome of this component will be presented in the form of proposals to supplement the draft law of RK “On forensic activities.”

“Further training of expert staff.” During the implementation of this component the further training of local experts will be organized at foreign universities and expert institutions.
