The Arcade of the Yaushev brothers was built in 1902 inspired by the Art Nouveau style. The author is unknown. There was a store of the ‘Yaushev Brothers’ Merchant Venture, arranged on shares with a large merchant firm of the Stakheevs a la shopping arcade, that is, in the form of a gallery of merchandise space, as well as a warehouse and residential apartments of the Head of the Kostanay branch of the Abdulvaley Yaushev Merchant Venture. Pavel Dmitriyevich Isupov served as a manager in the ‘Yaushev Brothers’ Merchant Venture.
According to the census of 1903, the cost of construction was estimated at 12,000 rubles. According to the census of 1912, the cost of the shopping arcade increased to 28,000 rubles. It must therefore be concluded that the Yaushev Shopping Arcade had been built over many years.
The two-storey building is located at the intersection of Al-Farabi and Altynsarin streets. The construction is brick, plastered, followed by repeated whitewashing on a rubble stone footing.
The horizontal extent of the 2nd floor is divided by wall piers with flutes into 3 window sections. The face is crowned with a stepped parapet wall, continued by turrets above the ledge and small attics with arches. The attics are decorated with medallions, creating an unusual play of light and shadows. The window apertures are completed with overhead segmental arches – head moldings. All this simple decor makes the building picturesque, and to some extent, monumental. The cambered domes have a helmet-like shape, covered with checkered metal roofing. This type of covering is typical for churches of the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries, but examples of checkered covering are also found in residential buildings.
The structure’s highness is 10 m . The plan dimensions are 38.4 x 58.4 m .

Now the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local History is located in this building.
